Our Senior Pastor and Bible Teacher is Jim Mitchell. Pastor Jim has thirty years of experience as a church planter, Bible teacher, and preacher of the Word of God. Pastor Jim is an ordained Minister and a graduate of the Massillon Baptist College. Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity (BDiv), majoring in Pastoral studies and church management.

Pastor Jim and his family served in the United Kingdom as church planters for fifteen years and count it a privilege to now serve the Lord in the United States of America. Pastor Jim and his family came to New Liberty Baptist Church in March 2020, as a joint church merger between the former Temple Baptist Church, Polk, Ohio.

In Pastor Jim's spare time he enjoys: reading, playing guitar and mandolin, and fishing for bass.
